The Carlisle Board of Health and Conservation Commission encourages citizens to educate themselves about the hazards of pesticides, to reduce or eliminate their use of pesticides, and to consider ecological and natural alternatives to pesticides

Unused pesticides, including "weed and feed" products, should be disposed of at Carlisle Hazardous Waste Collection days sponsored by the Board of Health. See the CPAG "Events" calendar for the next scheduled Hazardous Waste Collection Day.

WARNING:  Beware of "organic fertilizers" that are made from sewage sludge. These may contain heavy metals and other toxins that are not listed on the ingredients list. For safer alternatives, see the CPAG "Organic Lawn" page.
