comments = I lived in Carlisle for about 7 or 8 months in 1956 or 1957.
I was in 5th Grade at the time and my father, who was an Air Force officer, was stationed at Hanscomb Field AFB. We rented one half of a duplex on a local dairy farm. I think it was called Bates Dairy. It was an absolutely idyllic existence! I am planning on a visit to Carlisle in October 2000. I hope to see many things I remember with great affection, like the library, and I want to see the changes brought by the past 43 years. I would like to stay in the Carlisle area. Can anyone recommend a small local inn or bed-and-breakfast in or very near to Carlisle? Is the dairy farm still there? This site is super! The only thing that could improve it would be lots more photographs. Thank you for making this possible.

I went to the Carlisle Town Homepage. I used to live in Carlisle and had a very dear friend on Brook Street (maybe 420 Brook St) named Helga Hardecker. I cant find her thru the web white pages. She had a farm on Brook St. and was a art therapist at McLeans Hosp in Belmont. She may have used Concord or Bedford as a PO address.

Is there any way someone could help me?

comments = What a great web site! I lived in Carlisle from 1965 until about 7 years ago. Now I live in the San Francisco area, and keep a picture (clippend from an issue of the Mosquito) on my fridge that shows a snow-covered Carlisle scene! It reminds me of why I left, but also brings back memories of how lovely Carlisle is in the snow! Thanks to all of you who put together this site - it reflects the creativity (and devotion) of the wonderful people who call Carlisle home.

comments = Tax day weekend we toured the Carisle area because a job transfer was possible. We liked what we saw. The transfer came through the 6th of May and so I used "Commonwealth Communities" to learn more about Carlisle. We really thank you for the great site. It convinced us that your's is a community we would like to share and participate in. Now all we have to do is find the house, unpack, etc....ps. we are coming in from Nepean, Ontario, adjacent to the west borders of the Canadian capital.

comments = Nice Site. I live Carlisle. Carlisle is my second home in England. I live on a small island right in the middle of the blue Mediterranean sea, with Italy to the north and Africa to the south. The Island is called MALTA. Tiny but full of history. Carlisle is where I studied and worked. I have family and friends there. My house in Malta is called CARLISLE. It is nice to read about Carlisle in the states.
