Welcome to the Carlisle Town Survey web site.  The survey was approved at the 2008 town meeting and supported by the board of selectmen.  A team consisting of the following residents developed the survey and analyzed the results:

John Ballantine, Alan Cameron, Jim Elgin, Verna Gilbert, Camelia Rosca

The survey was conducted in the spring of 2008 and 43% of the residents in town participated, which is about the same number as participates in a non-presidential election.  This is a very good return and  provides confidence that the needs of the town are accurately reflected in the survey results.

This site is set up so that you can start at the very top of the report and scroll through the entire document.  Alternatively, you may use the index to go directly to specific sections.  In addition, you can see the actual questions that were asked relating to each topic by clicking on the “Survey Questions” link at the beginning of each topic section.  Finally, you can read a short overview of the entire report (Executive Summary) and then link to specific topic areas from within that document.(v mac1.1)
